Economical and environmental analysis of seawater source heat pump system of a haven’s ship waiting floor in Dalian of China
Seawater is an abundant renewable clean energy source. This paper introduces an actual SWHP(seawater source heat pump) projects design, operational scheme, operational aspect and test results, and then has further a economical and environmental analysis for it. From the economy and environment benefit perspective, the SWHP is compared with the GSHP(ground source heat pump), coal-fired boiler station district heating, household gas-fired boiler heating and household oil-fired boiler heating using a dynamic economics method of Annual Cost. From the comparison, it can be seen that the first cost of this SWHP system is high and the economic reward is less than the other four schemes, but the SWHP is energy-saving. Because of no district heating pipe network, the environment benefit and environment protection, we can draw a conclusion that the application of SWHP is feasible. At last, proposals of improving SWHP systems economic benefit are indicated, including the problems of its application in China.
