THERMAL PERFORMANCE AND ENERGY-SAVING ANALYSIS OF GUANGZHOU PUBLIC BUILDINGS’ ENVELOPE

The energy consumption of public buildings is a complex and dynamic which is affected by the factors such as the envelope heat transfer, indoor thermal interference and solar radiation process. In this paper, the effect of each energy efficiency measure on a public building envelope was analyzed in Guangzhou with dynamic simulation software DeST. The results showed that lowering the window shading coefficient, the heat transfer coefficient of external wall and roof is advantage to reduce annual air-conditioning energy consumption and the cooling load, but lowering the external windows heat transfer coefficient is adverse. Under the comprehensive effect of the various measures, the building energy consumption of envelope satisfying the current standard demands approaches that of the tradition building, which does not achieve the purpose of energy efficient, so in the design process of energy efficiency of public buildings, using dynamic simulation software to calculate the annual energy consumption, and use the scheme of both low energy consumption and technically and economically reasonable, particularly careful to use low heat transfer coefficient of window.
