PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF HEAT RECOVERY CONDENSOR FOR APPLICATION IN DOMESTIC WATER-COOLED AIR-CONDITIONERS
For achieving higher ratio of energy utilization, kinds of heat recovery equipments are used in most HVAC systems of business buildings. But there is few of work reported in literature on heat recovery equipments in domestic air-conditioners. And most domestic air-conditioner are air-cooled air-conditioners with no accessorial equipment for heat recovery in Hong Kong, the the energy efficiency ratio (EER) of such equipments is not efficient. So in order to promote the EER in domestic airconditioner systems, maybe convert the domestic air-cooled air-conditioner into water-cooled airconditioner is a better choice. And heat recovery from the condenser of water-cooled air-conditioner may have more choice. In the present work attempts were made to investigate the performance of heat recovery condenser for application in domestic water-cooled air-conditioners with a tube-in-tube helical heat exchanger.
