Study of Web-Based Statistical Map System-Case of the 5th Chinese Census Data
With the enhancement of national informatization level, statistical departments have accumulated abundant statistical data about the economy of national, the development of social and so on. The data have utmost importance for analyzing the situation of our country, science, decision-making of government and other fields. Utilizing the space-time character of statistical data, statistical data and geographical spatial data are made into statistical electronic maps, then, distributing those statistical electronic maps via internet. It makes for more intuitionistic to express the disciplinarian of the data spatial and temporal characteristics, it also has largely broadened the applied fields of statistical electronic map and provides valuable information to both the public and government organizations by portraying socio-economic spatial variation.
