Biotemperature Changes of Ecozone in Western China since 1960

Biotemperature, one of the primary bioclimatic indicators, has important impact on the ecological services, the sensitivity of regional eco-environment, and the similarity and difference of eco-environmental characteristics. After comparatively analyzing relative interpolation methods, gradient-plus-inverse distance squared (GIDS) is selected and improved to create biotemperature data on GIS platform. According to the biotemperature data since 1960 were observed on 735 weather stations that are scattered over China, the mean biotemperature changes of the thirty ecozones in western China since 1960 were analyzed. The analysis results show that the biotemperature of ecozone in Western China has the rising trend on the whole in recent 40 years, except few ecozone, for example, subtropical Evergreen Broadleaf Forest Ecozone in Wuling Mountain and Agricultural-Forest Ecozone in Sichuan Basin.
