Analysis of CNL of CCSD-MH: Implications for structural water in UHPM rocks
We studied the Compensated Neutron Logging data (CNL) of Ultra-High Pressure Metamorphic (UHPM) rocks from the Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling Main Hole (CCSD-MH) and its vertical distribution. The CNL of UHPM rocks reflected mainly the content of structural water. The hydrogen content of UHPM rocks becomes gradually lower in the following order: serpentinized peridotite, chlorite amphibolite, amphibolite, phengite eclogite, retrograded eclogite, rutile-bearing eclogite, paragneiss, and orthogneiss.
