Isotope constraints on rock-water reaction of geothermal water in Guanzhong Basin, Shaanxi, China
Isotope techniques were applied to offer direct constraints on the water-rock reaction of geothermal water in Guanzhong Basin, Shaanxi, China. The results of the isotope study show that geothermal water in the central area of the basin had evident 18O shift, suggesting longer water-rock reaction time. Based on isotope and hydrochemistry analysis, two thermal-water reservoirs, a circulating thermal-water reservoir and isolated thermal-water reservoir, have been identified in the basin, and the characteristics of the two types of thermal water are discussed.
