Hydrocarbon charging histories of the Feixianguan formation carbonate reservoir in the Puguang gas field, Sichuan Basin, China
Systematic analysis of fluid inclusion was performed on 20 samples from the Feixianguan Formation carbonate reservoir in Puguang gas field, Sichuan Basin, China. On the basis of petrography and fluorescing characterizations, the results of the microthermometric and Raman microspectrometric analyses indicated that the Feixianguan Formation reservoir experienced three hydrocarbon charging events during its evolutionary history. Combined with the research results of burial history and tectonic evolution and oolitic reservoir, the three hydrocarbon charging events happened during the time interval from 193 to 105 Ma. The primary oil charging happened during 193-168 Ma. The second and third gas charging happened during 168-156 Ma and 156-105 Ma, respectively. The critical time of hydrocarbon charging was at the middle Yanshan (168-156 Ma).
