Equilibrium-nonequilibrium state of groundwater with rock-forming minerals in the Yuncheng basin, Northern China
The paper presents the results ofinvestigation of equilibrium states in the groundwater-carbonate and aluminosilicate mineral systems oftheYuncheng basin. The chemical equilibrium analysis of the groundwater samples show that the water-rock system is characterized by an equilibrium-nonequilibrium state. The main cause of the state is the interaction of water with primary alumiosilicate minerals (anorthite, albite, muscovite,K-feldspar) that results in formation of secondary minerals (clays, montmorillonite, hydromica). The secondary minerals are in equilibrium with groundwater at the present time of the system evolution.
