An experimental study of nitrate removal from groundwater by aerobic denitrifying sludge
In this study, fertile garden mould was chosen as the bacteria resource, which was domesticated and enriched in order to form aerobic denitrifying sludge for nitrate removal. Different amounts of the formed sludge were inoculated to treat synthetic feed water containing NO3--N, NH4+-N and carbon sources such as glucose and methanol under various substrate conditions.
