Simulation of one-dimensional contaminant transport in non-Darcy flow field through low permeability porous media
In view of the issues concerning the threshold pressure gradient and moving boundary in low permeability porous media, a coupled mathematical model of groundwater pollution equation with seepage is built. The truncation errors associated with the finite-difference solution of one-dimensional groundwater pollution are corrected based on Taylor analysis and the influence of the starting pressure gradient on the distribution of groundwater contaminant is studied. The results show that it has an important influence on the distribution of groundwater pollution which can not be ignored, e.g., in the domain of research looking at the groundwater pollution in low permeability porous media.
