The problems of development and utilization of saline soils in Northwestern China and prevention and remediation countermeasures
On the basis of analyzing the forming mechanism of the saline soil in northwestern China, the environmental problems, caused during the saline soil exploitation were studied. The problems are as follows:secondary salinization, low utilization efficiency of water and fertilizer in the upriver irrigation district; water and soil pollution, water resources shortage and environmental depravation in the lower region of rivers. Remedial countermeasures and recommendations are presented.
