Properties and environmental influence of soil water in unsaturated zone
Soil water has direct implication in environmental, agronomic, and hydrologic applications.Soil water retention and hydraulic conductivity curves were obtained using nonlinear regression methods to determine S and θ, and K and θ that were acquired in field experiments. Water properties in different texture and structure soils are also discussed. According to the behaviour of soil water, and the relation on volumetric water content, rainfall, and wilt point, environmental trends are predicted. The results show that the environment is deteriorating, and desertification is possible in the future if preventative measures are not taken soon.
