A study on numerical simulation of stability and failure mode of a reservoir landslide
After storage of water, the hydrogeological condition of a reservoir area obviously varies and the landslide stability of adjacent slopes is affected. Taking a reservoir lying in southwest Hubei as an example, the general rules of the influence of reservoir water level on landslide stability is discussed. By use of a pushmethod with anti-shearing parameters, the effects of water level variation and drainage factors are analyzed.Additionally, numerical simulation is adopted to analyze the sliding mode. We show that not only stability, but also failure mode is liable to change, that is to say, the push mode will be substituted by drag mode.
