Removal and reclamation of dissolved copper by PSEP chelate resin

The adsorption of poly silicone ethyleneamine pyridine chelate resin was used to remove Cu(Ⅱ from wastewater. The adsorption capability of static adsorption and dynamic adsorption were 149 mg/g and 146 mg/g at 25 ° and pH 2.10, respectively. 25% H2 SO4 was used to regenerate the resin and the rate of regeneration was 100%. The isothermal adsorption can be described by Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms. The rate of velocity constant k is 2.32 s-1 and the activation energy of adsorption Ea is 2.15 kJ. mol-1 at 25°. The effect of velocity on dynamic adsorption, the selectivity, the regeneration efficiency of the resin and the recycle of resin were studied with reported results.
