Application of heat pulse technique on the soil water velocity and the exploration of physical geography
This paper introduces the theory of the heat pulse technique and the application to the measurement of soil physical properties, including thermal properties and the speed of soil water movement. It discusses the basis on which the heat pulse technique is applied to the exploration of physical geography. The heat pulse technique can be regarded as an extension of ground temperature measurement. The heat pulse measurement technique is similar to that of seismic surveying. The heat pulse technique components include a sensor, SCM,digital circuit and data inverse software. At present, the sensor technique is relatively advanced while the data inverse software is in its infancy. The software component is a priority for future development.
