System Design of MRH Device
In this paper, the system of MRH device measuring heading of a vehicle, ship or plane, which is based on a biaxial accelerometer and a triaxial MR sensor is designed. The theory of MR sensor and references to its peripheral components, such as amplifier and A/D convertor are presented. The method of measuring and analyzing signals with LabVIEW is summarized. The software arithmetic of heading for plane and space is evaluated. The influence of environmental magnetic field and others to the measuring result is analyzed and the error of influence is investigated, and furthermore, the arithmetic of compensation to calibrate the influence is discussed. The proposed system can be used to measure the accurate values of heading, roll and pitch for carrier. The experiment result shows that the system can provide outputs accurate to ±0.5° or better while the biaxial accelerometer is supplying roll and pitch value in strapdown condition.
