Modeling of Ultrasonic Testing about Void Content in Carbon Fibre
Void is the most common flaws for composite material. Ultrasonic attenuation was serious because of the absorption of ultrasonic material and the material internal fragmentation caused by the discontinuousness. To solve the problem, ultrasonic pulse reflectance measurement system based on digital test was introduced. The relationship of factor was describe for ultrasonic attenuation caused by porosity. The relation between defect detect and probe frequency was given for probe select. Under reasonable simplifying conditions, the detection relationship between ultrasonic attenuation and void content established for practicle. The C-scan images were obtained based on curved surface. The applicatlon formula calibrated by experiment was fit to given materials.
