Simultaneous Strain and Temperature Measurement Using a Brillouin Scattering Based Superstructure Fiber Grating Filter
Superstructure fiber grating filter is presented in measuring Brillouin intensity, which is used to suppress the Rayleigh backscatter and separate the Brillouin signal by double-peak design. In this way, Brillouin-based temperature and strain sensor system is achieved. A temperature resolution of 5℃, strain resolution of 500 PH and a spatial resolution of 15m was obtained along a sensing range of 30km.
