Establishment and Analysis of Mathematic Model For Ice Detector
Ice buildup on low temperature fuel tanks, highway bridges, aircraft airfoil surfaces can unexpectedly occur and create hazardous conditions. A vibrating-tube ice detector has been developed to detect the ice in the complex situation automatically. In order to find out the vibrating characteristic of the tube, the wave equation was established based on the vibration theory, the general solution was obtained using the variable separation method, then, the fixed solution was obtained integrating the simple structure model of the detector and the detailed terms and conditions. After the fixed solution was simplified based on the magnitude computational algorithm, the mathematic model of the vibrating-tube ice detector is established and three-order mode of axial vibration are obtained. The mathematic model makes the principle of the detector clear, and lays a solid foundation for the optimal structure design of the detector and the next debugging.
