Portable Data Acquisition System Based on CompactFlash Interface
A novel portable data acquisition (DAQ) system based on CompactFlash (CF) interface is designed. In the system, FPGA (field programmable gate array) is used as CF interface controller and DAQ controller. CF interface controller transfers data between client and host (PDA), DAQ controller selects measurement scale and controls A/D converting. PDA accesses clients data across CF interface, sends instructions to client such as measurement scale select word and DAQ parameter, data are sent to host in interrupt mode and then processed. The experimental results proves the successful implementation of DAQ, processing, display and control, and the data received by the host show that the largest relative error is 1.067% for amplitude measurement and 1.230% for frequency measurement.
