Performance Comparison Between Two Pilot Symbol-aided Channel Estimation Schemes for OFDM
Based on the least square (LS) criterion, the time-domain channel estimation (CE) algorithms for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)channel estimation are designed. Meanwhile we introduce some results on the generalized rotation matrix, which is used as linear transition to recover the OFDM data. We give the simulation comparisons between two different linear channel estimation methods based on different CE modulation scheme under Rayleigh fading channel, which is assumed flat within one frame. Simulation results show that when in-phase channel and quadrature-phase channel are used to carry the CE data, the BER and PER performance can be improved obviously.
