An Approach for Quality Performance Assessment Under Uncertainty

The focus on Quality Performance ( QP) assessment comes from the establishment of national quality awards ( NQAs) and IS09004 standard. Both NQAs and IS09004 all give many descriptive criteria and their evaluation hierarchy, but they do not gives special approaches for QP assessment. Aimed at both the characteristics of multi-levels and multi-indicators and the uncertainty of information in QP assessment, fuzzy comprehensive judgment and expert group decision-making are used to measure qualitative indicators and solve mass function of indicators. Then a revised Evidential Reasoning approach based on D-S theory is applied to combine multi-experts and multi-indicators, and an approach for QP assessment under uncertainty is implemented.
