Traffic Assignment Model Considering Emission Effects and its Solution Algorithm: Using Projection Methods
This paper explicitly takes emission effects into account in the traffic assignment model. We firstly put forward a mathematical model by renewing the generalized cost function with environmental consideration, then, we use two types of projection methods, namely, modified projection method along with a self-adaptive projection and contraction method to investigate the optimal solution of the problem. Finally, we compare the efficiency of the two methods under the same experimental condition through the numerical example we employing. The outcome shows that the SA-PC method has the less iteration steps thereby its convergence is swifter than the MP method. We also present some interesting remarks of the two projection methods as well as criteria in relation to parameter selection.
