The Simulation of the Operation of the Production Line at Stamping Workshop Based on Tecnomatix
Machinery manufacturing industry should focus on the optimization of production processes. Because of the technology has a direct impact on production line efficiency and product quality. This paper takes a stamping workshop in the Machinery manufacturing company for example, using the simulation tools of Tecnomatix which take the solutions of digital production. And a simulation model of the production line has been set up by Tecnomatix. After that, three main factors which affect the production efficiency and product quality are found out; high-frequency of changing the mould, longer time of SET-UP, amount of WIP. On the basis of these three issues, the multi-objective optimization model which takes the most efficient production lines and least time of SET-UP as a target. In order to solve the model, this paper designs a solving process based on genetic algorithm, and use the programming language provided by the Tecnomatix to solve the optimal solutions. Finally, optimization and analysis of simulation results are compared.
