A ProA-Based Modeling Method Supporting Product Development Process Integrated Optimization
Modeling the product development process (PDF) is the first problem to solve in researching and optimizing PDP. A proper modeling method is critical to the model validity for PDP integrated optimization. Found on the research of existing process modeling method, this paper put forward a ProA ( Activity and its process) -based PDP modeling method. ProA-based modeling method uses the existing process modeling method for reference, taking the merits in and the demerits out, organizes the information and knowledge of PDP by base unit ProA, supports process deployment layer of layer, describes the PDP and its process information systematically from multi-angle of view, and reduces the process complexity effectively. Through analyzing and describing ProA and all kinds of relations among them, process model, function model and information model of PDP are integrated, which provide a support tool for PDP analyzing, programming and monitoring. So, ProA-based modeling method supports the integrated optimization of PDP. The definition and basic characteristics are discussed in this paper, and how to build PDP with ProA and ProA connection is also presented.
