Adaptive Economics Model of ICT-Driven Collaboration Management

For the manufacturing enterprise, the ICT (information and communication technology) has become a constant, but the ROIs( Return of Investment) of ICT applications planning and implementation were difficult to measured. The former research literatures put emphasis on the improvement and change of function or department that lack of the entire model for adaptive coverage the total deployment area. Based on the ICT-driven vertical value chain, a new economics model (EM) was put forward to evaluation the ICT system deployment and organizational transformation. The EM was divided into five layers in vertical directions, i. e. control, execution, collaboration, analysis &decision, and business innovation. In the horizontal direction, the demand chain and supply chain ( DSC) were regarded as main thread from customer to the supplier extended into collaboration net. Then, the adaptive economics model ( AEM) of collaboration management was analyzed by the structural equation model to identify the factors that decided the economics performance. From the different layers on vertical directions and oriented-to DSC, the AEM could be re-assembled to fit for the ascending and extending applications. The AEM was not regarded as a fixed entity but a flexible and assembly block that could fit for the deployment of ISs, which influenced by the implementation scope, requirement center and application depth.
