Study on Optimization Design of a Closed-Loop Supply Chain Network Under Uncertainty
Environment deterioration and resource reduction begin to draw peoples attention in collection and reuse of the used products. More and more environment laws and regulations claim manufacturers be responsible for the whole lifecycle of their products, especially collection and disposal of used products. So it is very important to design a closed-loop supply chain network ( CLSCN) by integrating forward supply chain network and reverse supply chain network. The optimization design of CLSCN is a strategy-level decision, which influences the efficiency and benefit of supply chain management. Aiming to design an appropriate CLSCN, this paper considers the uncertainty of the market demands and the recoverable quantities of used products, as well as the effects of direct sale mode in electronic commerce and real time value of money on network design. A static, multi-products, multi-periods, restricted-capacity, mixed integrated nonlinear program model is introduced to determine the number and locations of various facilities and the optimal goods flows between them within the CLSCN. Finally, a numerical example tests the validity of the model.
