Distribution Center Capacity Planning Based on EIQ-PCB Analysis

For distribution center system planning which determines the operation efficiency, the key role lies in capacity planning. In this paper, a distribution center capacity planning method based on the EIQ-PCB analysis is introduced. According to this method, the distribution center capacity can be described by a set of indicators. An EIQ-PCB analysis model and data analysis process are also developed in this paper, and the detailed calculating formulas are introduced as well, for distribution center total capacity indicators and the typical storage zone capacity indicators, such as throughput, inventory, material items, etc. The method has already been applied in medicine distribution center system planning, which results in the distribution center established in sound and running with high efficiency.
