An Incentive Scheme with Asymmetric Information Based on a Class of Three Echelon Supply Chain
Great attention has been paid to the incentive scheme in supply chain, recently. However, many are based on the assumption of symmetric information, which are far from realistic. The overall profitability of supply chain could be decreased because of asymmetric information or partners opportunistic behavior. In this paper, we assume that all partners are rational and opportunistic towards profit. This paper analyzes the profitability of supply chain with symmetric information and asymmetric information separately based on a class of three echelon model, taking into account products price, customers demands and quality simultaneously, and presents a profit-sharing incentive scheme with asymmetric information to optimize the profitability of supply chain in the long run. This paper discusses the usability of the incentive scheme and makes a conclusion that profitability of supply chain could be advanced if all partners are pay attention to the whole performance of the chain. The future works are mentioned in the end.
