The Research on Data Mining Model for Supplier Selection in E-business
Supplier selection is a key task in supplier performance management of an enterprise, especially in the e-business environment. It is a typical multi-objectives programming problem. In this paper, the shortcomings of the traditional supplier selection methods are reviewed, and the advantages of using data mining techniques to make decisions in e-business are discussed. A new model for supplier selection is proposed. The model is based on the two particular data mining techniques that are rough set and genetic algorithm. The detailed procedures of the new model are described. Finally, the validity of the model can be proved by a real case.
