Incentive Mechanism for Knowledge Sharing Based on Internal Interests
Enterprises are paying more and more attention to KM (knowledge management) for the importance of knowledge. They take it a tool of improving enterprises core competence and innovation power. However, the KM projects are not so successful. Analyzing the failures, we find two problems can not be ignored in the knowledge sharing (the key of KM ) : the interest relation in sharing process and the appropriate scope of knowledge sharing. In this paper, we analyze the damage to the interests of knowledge provider and the reasonable scope of knowledge sharing and why it is. Basing on the analysis, then we adopt the Balance Scorecard ( BSC ) in sharing-cluster method to inspirit the knowledge sharing from two aspects; incentive mechanism and the organization structure. This method realizes the compensation for knowledge provider s benefits loss and also demarcates the scope of the knowledge sharing from bottom up. This is helpful to the implementation of the KM.
