Exploring the Relationship between Organizational Culture and Collective Leadership; Case Study in Service Companies

Following the perspective of relationship between organizational culture and leadership, the paper aims to the deep understanding of the relationship between organizational culture and collective leadership among top-middle managers in Service Company. Based on the case study and history analysis for three companies/company groups from Chinese service industry, the paper discloses the process and two different types of the liaisons between organizational culture and collective leadership, which lie in two stages and focus of organizational development. The paper also analyzes the characters of top-middle managers collective leadership in the two stages and generalizes five liaison mechanisms between organizational culture and collective leadership: integration, fitting, coupling, evolution and succession.
