A Leak Detection System Based SCADA
A passively real-time leaking monitor system is designed on pressurized oil pipelines based SCADA system The leak time is judged by PLC on bottom of the SCADA system, which improves greatly the precision of locating of leaking pipeline. Fluid dynamic model method integrated with rarefaction wave method to promote reliability and sensitivity of leak detection and reduce false alarm rate. The system was applied to an oil pipeline system in North China, after the parameters have been tuned based on normal operational data over half a year, field investigation indicates that the leak detection software is effective.
