An Innovative Active Liquid Heat Sink Technology for CPU Cooling System
This paper presents the development of an innovative Active-Liquid-Heat-Sink (ALHS) technology for computer Center Process Unit (CPU) or Graphics Process Unit (GPU)cooling system. Principal concepts, basic design, fabrication process and the integration of the Active-Liquid-Block into an internal CPU liquid cooling system are discussed in detail.Experimental verifications by a testing apparatus conforming to ASTM-5470D standards are presented on how the cooling system was tested. Adequate working conditions as well as the system performance trends are shown graphically.Comparison with a commercial air cooling, a commercial heat-pipe as well as a commercial internal liquid cooling system was made and the results are exceptionally good.
