A Dynamic Channel Estimation in MIMO Communication System

Channel estimation is essential in digitalcommunication. In MIMO transmission it is augmented bythe need of transceiver with an equalizing sequence in eachsymbol. And the non-frequency and stationary fading channelis a prerequisite for MIMO transmission in state-of –art, thatsthe why MIMO technique is mainly used as indoorcommunication. In this paper we propose to use an adaptivemultiple dimensional support vector regressor (AM-SVR) forestimating MIMO communication channels because of thegood generalization properties the SVR presents for shorttraining sequences. Instead of using quadratic programming(QP) procedures for solving the M-SVR, as is usually done, wepresent an iterative re-weighted least squares procedure forattaining the M-SVR solution, because it is a procedure simpleto implement and allows a recursive formulation that isimpossible for QP schemes. We analyze the performance ofthe proposed algorithm using computer simulations in mobileMIMO communication scenarios.
