Partner Choice Based on Beam Search in Wireless Cooperative Networks
Cooperative diversity has recently emerged as aneffective form of providing gains in slow fading wireless en-vironments.In this paper, we propose a novel partner choiceprotocol which first selects the best relay from cooperative regionconsisting of n available relays and then uses this best relay forcooperation between the source and the destination. We improvethe agility of this protocol by guiding the search heuristically sothat as few available relays as possible are expanded duringthe partner choice process. We use amplify-and-forward asrelaying schemes to illustrate the validity of the cooperativecommunication in the mobile wireless networks.
