A Tracking algorithm for OFDM timing synchronization Using Particle Filtering
Accurate estimation of synchronization parametersis a fundamental issue in all digital communication systems, espe-ciallyin the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM)systems. In this paper, we investigate a novel approach toestimation and tracking the symbol timing offset in unknownmulti-paths fading channel based on the application of methodcalled sequential Monte Carlo. The performance of the proposedtechnique is studied through computer simulations that illustratethe accuracy of timing recovery and Particle Filtering receiveroutperforms Extended Kalman Filtering (EKF) for the consid-eredSNR.
