Improved Minimal-Hops Handover Strategy of LEO Satellite Constellation System
This paper proposes a new handover strategy, which combines the minimal-hops handover (MHH) strategy with minimal-loads handover strategy and makes fully use of the dynamic properties of the low earth orbit (LEO) constellationnetwork topology, to efficiently solve the inter-satellite handover problem. The simulation results show thatcompared with MHH strategy, the new strategy performs better with lower loads, lower handover call blockingprobability and new call blocking probability.
