Utility-based Stochastic Fictitious Play and Wireless Medium Access Control Design
This paper designs medium access control (MAC)protocols for wireless ad hoc network with the theory ofstochastic fictitious play (SFP). We define a general class ofgames, called medium access control game, where each nodemaximizes its own payoff by selecting channel accessprobability. Through maintain the network to a stable state, higher performance can be guaranteed. By specifying differentparameters in the utility function, we can get the balance ofsystem efficiency and fairness of radio resource allocation.Fulfilling the condition of supermodular game, we can provethere exists Nash equilibrium in our game. An algorithm isgiven to realize our design and simulation results prove theeffectiveness and fairness of our proposed algorithm.
