Effect of Reference Point on Performance of Multidimensional Scaling Algorithm for Localization in Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要：

In case of time-of-arrival (TOA) measurementserrors, selecting different reference point usually yieldsdifferent accuracy of localization in wireless sensor networksby using classical Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) algorithm.In this paper, we derive the MDS algorithm which usingcentroid of network nodes as reference point, compared withwhich using one of nodes of sensor networks as reference point.Simulation results show that using centroid of network nodesas reference point yields better performance.
