An Ant-like Agent Based Data Aggregation Routing Scheme in Wireless Sensor Networks
Energy efficiency is a very important criterion forthe wireless sensor networks. The technology of dataaggregation can be adopted to decrease the power costs ofredundancy information and delay time. In this paper, weproposed an optimization data aggregation routingalgorithm based on ant colony schema (ACAR) using agentcollaboration and migration for wireless sensor networks. Anumber of ant-like mobile agents traverse the wirelesssensor network in search of data aggregation paths betweengiven source-destination node pairs while seeking to fulfill aset of requirements (the path objective) provided by theowner/producer of the agents. Our simulation results showthat our algorithms perform well in energy efficientcompared with Directed Diffusion protocol.
