Nonlinear Compensation in Digital Controller of Switching DC-DC Converters
Digital control of switching dc-dc converters brings many benefits including capability to implement advanced control algorithm that is often complex. Nonlinear compensation function with digital PID of power coefficients is proposed in this paper. The describing function is adopted for analysis. The transient response under different load variations is investigated by simulation and compared with the converters employing linear PID compensation. The experiment system is also set up on FPGA platform to verify the analysis and simulation results. By comparison, nonlinear compensated converter has much better transient performance than the linear compensated one.
