The Construct Validation of Chinese Employees Work Motivation
Based on the theoretical framework proposed by Amabile, this paper explores the construct of Chinese employees work motivation. Two primary factors are confirmed, namely, Intrinsic motivation and Extrinsic motivation, and five secondary factors are identified and labeled as Self-determination, Challenge, Enjoyment, Outward, and Compensation. Through confirmatory factor analysis, the results indicate that the five-factor model is a better fit than the two-factor model.
