Chinese Firms Internationalization and Entry Mode Choice: A Case Study
Selection of entry modes is an important decision during internationalization process of Chinese firms. Using the caseof BOE group purchasing HYDIS Company, we analyzed the background and process of the entry mode decision-making and the strategic motives of the two sides and the evolution of conflicts and gave some typical events. Further, we discussed in an in-depth way the selection of strategies for the internationalization of Chinese firms, especially when they are to enter the developed countries market. Then, we recommended the entry modes to the Chinese fums and stressed that great attention should be paid to the cultural differences and their effects on the technology transfers in the high-tech industries. We also pointed out the importance of selecting low-risk entry mode according to the dynamic concept.
