Learning and Performance: Is Technical Innovation a Missing Link? An Empirical Study of Firms in South China
We study the relationships of learning orientation, technical innovation and performance based on a sample of 160 enterprises in South China. We found that: (1) learning orientation has a positive impact on technical innovation; (2) technical innovation has a positive impact on organizational performance; (3) learning orientation has no distinct direct impact on organizational performance, but has indirect impact on performance through technical innovation.
