Grey Relevancy Analysis about Energy Consumption of each Industry and Economic Growth in China

With the energy shortage problem highlighting day after day, the relationships between energy consumption and the development of national economy receive more and more attentions from academe. However, most of present researches just concentrate on the relationships between economic development and total energy consumption, few of them realize the relationships between energy consumption of each sector and economic development. Such omit restricts the understanding of the effects of energy consumption of each sector to economic development and the order of those sectors influences. This article attempts to adopt the method of coefficient of variation to confirm the weights of the grey relevancy coefficients, and then carries on grey relevancy analysis to study the relationships between energy consumption of each sector and economic growth. Finally, our research results present that the impacts on GDP of energy consumption of industries, in the descending order, should be: energy consumption of the tertiary industry, secondary industry, primary industry and living, and offer some policy proposals according to the data analysis result in the end.
