Standards and International Trade: The Case of China and USA

摘要：

Standards and standardization have more significant effect on international trade nowadays. This paper analyses the relationship between China and USA in international trade, reviews two countries national standardization activities in the past 10 years. We use the quantity of national standards to quantify these activities, the trade data between China and USA in the last 10 years is the quantification of the trade situation. After summarizing related research and reviewing the case of international trade in recent years, the paper adjusts Swanns model and constitute multi-regression equation, then it studies national standardization activities impact on international trade by using the F-test result and correlative coefficients. And the data result is discussed with current theories and practices.
