Economy Growth Cointegration Test Between Fushun and Medial Megalopolis in Liaoning Province
According to the variables cointegration theory and Granger causality test principles and basing on the GDP time series from 1984 to 2005, the paper mainly studies economy growth cointegration relationship of Fushun(FS) city and the medial megalopolis Liaoning province(MMLP). Meanwhile, Granger causality test on the two series is also conducted for deeply research in this paper. The results has shown that there is a long-term equilibrium of GDP growth between FS city and MMLP and that economy growth of MMLP Granger causes FS economy growth. This means that economy development of MMLP would be profoundly influencing the economy development of FS. Thus, FS city, which is considered as a mining-depending and resource exhaustion city,can take full advantage of the megalopolis preponderances to maintain the sustainable development in its process of industries regulation and transformation.
