The Sustainability Evaluation of County Ecosystem Based on Ecological Footprint and Environmental Friendship Index

摘要：

In order to remedy the defect of resource bias in ecological footprint analysis, this paper introduces ecological footprint and environmental friendship index to evaluate the sustainability of county ecosystem. Ecological footprint index mainly portrays the supply-demand status of natural resource consumption. Environmental friendship index mainly portrays the environment quality and the solutions of environment pollution. According to the two indexes, this paper c onstructs a four-quadrant model to evaluate the sustainability of county ecosystem, and then apply such model to a county in the Central Regions of China.
